I Went Plalking (4/22/2019)
Dear friends and family,
This
week I went plalking (like walking but with a "pl"). You're probably
wondering what plalking is. So did I. So plalking is "Picking up Litter
while wALKING". It was a ward activity with some non-member folks from
the community. A small event, but fun nonetheless. We cleaned up some
litter as we walked through a park.
We
also helped organize some stuff in a dusty house, which destroyed my
weak respiratory system and left me sneezing for half of the day.
Crazy
thing that happened this week: we were walking in a neighborhood to try
by a guy (non-member) who apparently had moved from St. George. While
outside his house we started talking to a teenage girl with her friend
and found out she's his daughter. Guess what? She went to Desert Hills
High School, the same school I went to, and graduated in 2017. While I
was a senior she was a sophomore in the same school and ended up moving
to Ohio. I didn't know her or anything but it's crazy. Maybe my sister
knew her but I don't remember her name so I guess we'll never know.
Definitely a weird coincidence.
I
don't know if many spiritual things happened this week...I think I
mentioned in my last email how I finally feel like I can say that I love
Ohio and was super filled with happiness for no reason one morning.
Maybe I didn't. I don't know. Things definitely aren't like that all the
time but God and Jesus Christ are good, and I've learned that with
Christ we have no reason to worry because of the assurance we have in
His perfect ability to carry us through our troubles.
Love,
Elder Gallagher

me.
