Baptizing the Terminator (3/11/2019)
Hello friends and family,
Two really cool things happened this week.
Several
days ago we were given the opportunity by the Reynoldsburg ward's Young
Men leaders to talk to the young men about missionary work. Elder Pay
and I and the other Reynoldsburg companionship talked about our
experiences. It was like a press conference or a face-to-face. Kinda
funny that I was involved in something like that. It was a really cool
experience though--I was praying that I would say something that would
really help them and I think the Spirit was there. All four of us had
unique perspectives and great advice to offer.
Next
cool thing that happened: we baptized and confirmed Jason! Elder Pay
performed the ordinance of baptism but I actually got to be in the font
to help out since Jason is an amputee. First time I've been in a
non-temple baptistry font since I was 8.
Then,
yesterday, I got to confirm Jason a member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. He's a really great guy with amazing faith.
He was truly handed to us on a silver platter. I don't take any special
credit whatsoever for his baptism! We already started him on family
history so pretty soon he'll be at the temple for baptisms for the
dead!!
Miracles are real everybody! Keep praying, keep hoping, keep going.
On another note, General Conference is in less than a month! Woohoo!
Love,
Elder Gallagher
