I'm Gonna Start Titling These Now (6/6)
Hi guys,
By the way, on the first day with Elder Henrie, we found out that his mother, Mrs. Henrie, was my Biology teacher in junior year at DHHS. Pretty dang crazy.
I found an amazing quote about the eternal destiny of men and women that I think might be from Joseph B. Wirthlin but I didn't write it down so who knows.
It's been an
interesting week. Elder Penny is gone and I'm now with Elder Henrie.
He's amazing. I can't say the mission "changed" him cuz...well, I didn't
know him before his mission! BUT I know it's done him a lot of good.
He's such an understanding, level-headed, awesome guy. He's from Cedar
City, pretty close to St. George!
We
were given a goal to try to baptize by month's end. It is going...well,
slowly. Pray for a miracle cuz so far we haven't had much luck. This
area is rough for finding people willing to meet with us more than once.

“‘In our Heavenly Father’s great priesthood-endowed plan, men have the
unique responsibility to administer the priesthood, but they are not the
priesthood. Men and women have different but equally valued roles. Just
as a woman cannot conceive a child without a man, so a man cannot fully
exercise the power of the priesthood to establish an eternal family
without a woman. … In the eternal perspective, both the procreative power and the priesthood power are shared by husband and wife.’
That's pretty cool.
Last but not least, happy birthday to my mother, Sage Gallagher. I love her. She deserves better than I've given her.
Fare thee well,
Elder Gallagher
